IF he signs, I dont see how he will get in the side if he plays as he did last season, but would be an outstanding squad addition. But if he could regain his form from his 1st season here then we would be getting one hell of a good full back and a able centre half.

One thing is for sure though, whether he plays good OR ****e for us, if we get a pen against the mancs, he just ****ing has to take it. I wont even watch the kick being taken, I will just watch fergies face and enjoy myself immensely as his horrible purple face explodes into a mound of chewing gum.

He`s been given his chance to go one better than that and **** me, he is taking it. Not only has he been immense defensively when he`s played this season but also proved to be one of our main attacking threats too with his intelligent use of one-two`s and knowing WHEN to make a overlapping run.

If Arbeloa continues in this form thwen it wont be very long at all before he is considered as vital for the reds as say carra/finnan.

Well done Arbeloa lad and keep it up
yes i did tell you he would be great

I tell what was good to watch, was the warm up. We seemed to be working on more patterns of play and movement rather than focusing on the more usual stretching, sprints and such like.

Unfortunately he wasnt wearing his shooting boots yeaterday or he would have got a goal also.

Cant help but think too that having Riise (a fullback) ahead of him is also aiding Arbeloa
the two of them have got a good understanding. It'll be difficult for anyone else to break into Rafa's 'first' team any time soon.

So much for the Riise hating mob!

Arbeloa has been magnificent so far this preseason and this season. He improved a lot and if he continues to improve, we'll have one heck of a player on our hands!

And he can improve, cause he have the best to learn from (not only our coaching staff, but Carra, Sami, Finnan etc.).

And I still think that goal he scored against Reading was absolute quality! I didn't expect him to score a goal for Liverpool but he took his only chance and score.

                  Come on Alvaro

PS: Plus, I like the name Alvaro. And his surname ain't bad either. Plus plus plus, I like the number 2!

I think he's a real find.Very composed with strength and loves a tackle.A real old school type of full back with good awareness and with an instinct to attack at the right time aswell. Also his versatility can prove to be priceless.

(I stiil can't get the thought of him looking like waiter out of my head)!Nice one Shaggy!

                      He's very good looking too.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

It was a striker's finish wasnt it.

PS: He is number 2 no more.
