    Very rarely in the modern game does someone come along and just blow you away the way this guy has done.I really liked Luis before this letter but now he's proberbly my favorite foreign import to play for LFC.

          he's an emotional tyrant and a psychological abuser. he scored amazing goals, gave the ball away to everyone, sucked his thumb, played on against everton with half his foot torn off, got a winning goal against chavs, then ****s off to some fancy mediterranian saucepot. just when i'm over all the emotional upheaval he comes back into my life with that letter - i don't know whether to cry, watch a youtube compilation of his goals or pull the stomach out of myself. i'll probably do all three. king luis indeed - i'm in ****in meltdown!!!!

                    Exactly. Quite an unprecedented gesture from a departing player, which obviously shows the strength and depth of his feeling towards the club and the fans.

                    Having his own song meant the world to him. Spanish Red on RAWK (who knows Luis personally) mentioned that Luis was really flattered to have his own song, and asked him to find out the lyrics for him. It's nice of him to show how much he appreciated that, even after he's left.

                    For me, what he acheived as a player for us made him a Liverpool legend. I know some people on here disagreed. To me, today, this gesture confirms it.

                              That was just superb. I said that so many times about Luis, he scored incredible goals in huge games, none more so that the winning goal against the chavs. He had the heart of a lion, never shirked a challenge and always put in 100%.
                              One of the Istanbul legends, he'll always be welcome back.
                              I imagine even as an opponent, even if he scored against the Reds, the Kop will still sing his song

                                Best number ten Liverpool have had since Barnesy and I include Michael in that. Garcia would have died for this club- that's the difference.
