"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Lots of Brits refer to us as EIRE innocently and whenever I come across this I politely point out that this is not the term in common usage for this country. My point of view - but one shared by many Irish people.
Your country has chosen to add your native name to their EU titles i.e.

In 2006 it was announced that the Republic of Ireland would use nameplates bearing Éire and Ireland at European Union meetings from 2007. This change was made at the same time as the adoption of Irish as a working language of the European Union as of 1 January 2007.[7]

Fwiw, I have always used Eire innocently, wiki seems to indicate it is the native tongue name for both your country and the whole island. Surely you should be proud of its use rather than using english words instead.

It's Ireland as far as I'm concerned, and occasionally the Republic of Ireland.

                Didn't see the game.

Nah, I'll be sending the spuds with Marky (when he goes to visit you). He's a nordy lad, so will have more experience than me of handling
