i'd definately say we've got more strength in depth than chelsea, rafa showed this kind of tenacity near the end of last season, i seem to recall when warnock was moaning about us using a weakened team, rafa got pretty annoyed in some interviews, another one i can think off the top of my head was the israeli press when they kept asking rafa why the haifa match was moved - rafa gave that journo a pelting - its great to see, he won't pull his punches

We have the better squad but Manure have the better first team, that was the stat of play last season, now we have shortened the gap between the two first teams this season

even if we had gerrard and torres out we'd still cope in the league, man u without rooney and ronaldo are poor and its shown over the last few games, they miss saha badly aswell but he's out injured a lot of the time anyway as is solskjear whos **** now anyway.

all im trying to say is that they badly miss their key players and we could cope without ours, so who has the better squad?

          i think its us tbh.

I think time will tell, If we finish above them then we were better, it is very early days yet.

I just hope that Rafa keeps his classy demeanor. It's fine to perk up a bit and have a go but being arrogant doesn't sit well with me. Not that I think he has been by the way.

Rafa is going that way to ensure that we get the same advantages as Chelsea and Manure. It could be the difference between 1st and 2nd!!!

now he's giving out a gentle one to demento

Benítez refused to be drawn on allegations from Sir Alex Ferguson that Liverpool had "tapped-up" Gabriel Heinze before his exit from Manchester United to Real Madrid. "I am only concerned about Toulouse but he has been working in England for 21 years and he has more experience than me. In everything," he said.

love it. and i'm sure you can all hear the silent "except reaching champions league finals" that he left hanging in the air

I heard during his time at Valencia he wasn't shy to face up to the competition and piss off a few managers along the way.

It seems to me his new found confrontational approach stems from the fact that he feels he now has a team ready to mount a serious title challenge.

i would imagine he means demento has more experience in tapping up players.
