"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

Crouch should know he isnt going to play every game. No player has the right to demand a game. Christ we have only played 3 times.

Crouch left out completely at Villa, five minutes v Chelsea and, if true of course, ditched again today.

Not looking good for the big man.

As for Mascherano, again if true of course, is he being spared at this early stage because of the Copa America? Easing him in? Three league games and not a single start isn't good for a player of his class.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

all our strikers have at least had a start. Aside from Crouch who came on at the end of the game last week. When you lump this in with the fact that he was a sub for the champs league final last season, there seems to be a pattern emerging.

Mascherano will play loads. The Copa only finished about 3 weeks before the season. Dont forget, Momo is gonna go missing for a month or so as well.

He hasn't been that good in pre-season or the competitive games he has played.

Crouch is the clear fourth or maybe even fifth choice striker right now. I wonder if Rafa would turn down a big money move right now for Crouch.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

hard to know what rafa's thinking is at any stage.

who is likely to go for him???
                        newcastle........ possible swap involving martins??
                        spurs..... possible swap involving berbatov
                        bolton.... anelka to us
                        man city........ richards

would do any of those deals but rate crouch at about 15m

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                              * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

                                Have no problems with Hyppia.

Disappointed not to see Masher playing.

Good to see Babel get a start. Let's hope we run them ragged on both flanks. If Pennant can play like he did last week - should be plenty of opportunities for the strikers.
