IMO of course.

Reina 7 - one walkabout moment where arbeloa saved him. Otherwise very assuring.
Finnan 7 - Both full backs were told to stay back ny Rafa and just defend. Never put a foot wrong.
Hyppia 7 - Never made a mistake before his nose exploded
Carra 7 - Never made a mistake before his ribs exploded
Arbeloa 8 - Outstanding. Both at full back AND centre back.
Pennant 8 - Played well and made me laugh with THAT throw in.
Alonso 7 - Man marked to **** but still played some killer passes.
Momo 9 - Awesome. 7000th lfc goal too
Babel 7 - Started quietly but grew into himself as the game went on.
Torres 8 - Fantastic striker. Missed a few good chances though.
Voronin 8 - Movement, workrate, intelligence. Great performance.

Subs :-
Agger 7 - Handled whatever came his way
Riise 7 - Defensively sound
Kuyt - Never got enough time.

Rafa 9 - Got the tactics spot on. We`d have drew this at best last year.

Referee 8 - Didnt get much wrong and kept the game flowing as much as possible, which was some feat given the physical approach by sunderland.

Fans 10 - Awesome performance from start to finish.

What a squad we've got now. Although I thought we were very poor for the opening half an hour, we improved for Momo's goal and could've won by three or four as it turned out.

Some great scouting work to bring in Voronin. I saw him in a fairly poor Leverkusen side three or four times last season and I honestly saw nothing in him to suggest he'd be a valuable player for us. That's why I'm not a scout.

Should have scored in the first 30 seconds but other than that I agree.Wouldn't that have settled any nerves if we had of scored that early on

Voronin looked very good today and Arbeloa is looking better each match IMO. We came through a tricky match without our captain, lost both CBs during the game, missed a host of chances and still won 2-0

Arbeloa has really impressed me this season, he's looked an absolute bargain for 2.5mil, things are looking good at the moment.

Hope he stays fit though as his versatility means that he won't get a break for a while if both Sami and Carra are out injured.

player of the season so far for me in terms of suprise and improvement. must be putting in the work at training, fair play, we need that type of player here.
someone willing to work hard and bleed if needs be for the jersey !!!
