There's more than enough quality in that side to win the game comfortably.....
i'd like to sse that, and with leto and lucas on the bench, see if we can give the 30 minutes...

That's probably the team i'd expect to see, depending on how bad Hyypia's injury is, otherwise Arbeloa left back and riise to push up. Also Kewell should be available for this match assuming his recovery went as planed, but he'll probably be left until next weekend

It's a night for old heads and professionalism.

I agree with that statement we need to start with our strongest team possible build a lead and then change it.
Remember we haven't done well at home in the qualifiers over the last few years.

Kewell fit, are u avin a laugh seriously mate, i'll be glad to see the back of him and his seriously over paid wages too. tbh, we've only seen glimpses of what he can do then the ibjury curse takes over leaving him and us very fustrated

well i'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt for the time being, a thigh tear is minor and is probably the result of playing constantly over the summer when his body hasn't been used to it

I think Crouch will play because we will need him to take care of Elmander at set pieces. Kuyt was rested against Sunderland so he will probably play.

If Kewell is fit then I would play him instead of Babel.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I have to say I have supported Kewell and really thought he would play a part for us this year, but I get the feeling the lad ain't never gonna play more than 10 games in a row without then being out injured for 4-5 games.
I hope I'm wrong but at this stage I only see him as a bit part player maybe being brought on as an impact sub.
I seriously hope I'm wrong we'll wait and see.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see this side run out but if Sami is fit, I would use him and leave Arbeloa on the bench. I'd give Torres the night off to rest up as he looked to tire on Sat. Babel will improve with game time and a good game to let him play with Riise. 2-0 to us

I suspect that could be the team, with Sami playing instead of Alvaro.

Got no idea but on local tv they intimated he has a groin injury and is out for a month. Only thing i have heard. Hope its wrong cos if his groin has gone again or cant hold up he may as well hang them up.

I really dont think it's worth risking Torres.

Sounds like Sami will probably play.
                              From the Offal:
