It's a bit sad really - football is so marketed that a lot of people just assume that just because they haven't heard pundits, journos, Champ Man addicts or commentators raving about players then they must be ****.

as if rashid was ever a beacon of light in the world of liverpool forums.

he's never known what he is talking about

i had no opinion on the crow as i'd never seen him play

like all our players he'll get at least a season from me.

but so far.....looks like an absolute steal

My concern when we signed Voronin wasn't that he was a particularly bad player but more I wondered why, with investment looking pretty much settled, we were going after free transfers and not players who you would consider to be elite free transfers either. I thought the point of investment was to splash the cash on proven quality players, as we have subsequently done on Torres though he still was a slight risk.

There is a touch of irony that a guy who cost nothing has, in just a small number of games, already looked arguably a better "buy" that a number of players Rafa has forked out a significant part of his 140M on during the last 3 and a bit years. I hope he builds on the positive start he has made because he does need to work on areas of his game - for example today he was partly at fault for us not having Sunderland killed off sooner.

we are not guaranteed to score loads of goals every game you know, was it me or didn't their keeper have a cracking game

Rashid has gone back to TLW as they rescinded his ban. His above comments are of no surprise whatsoever.

I am happy for Voronin. I hadn't actually seen him play before he arrived so could pass little comment on him, but from what I've seen he is an excellent addition to our squad. He is very intelligent and reminds me of Sheringham in his pomp.

I think Voronin has come to the club with a point to prove and has what Rafa would describe as a 'good mentality'. As the quote in my sig shows he's got a very determined attitude and wants to make his mark on the team.

What i like the most about him is the way he's constantly putting the defence under pressure, trying to force mistakes. It nearly paid off in the first minute yesterday with the bad back pass. If he keeps playing at that level and tempo he will be a very effective player for us.

I was slagging Crouch off before he came but I learnt my lesson that time! Trust Rafa - he'll get the talent in and if they trun out to be wank he'll have them out in no time.
