So what do we think of Leto? Doesn't look out of his depth the way Gonzalez and even Pennant did.

Benayoun looks lively, great little ball to put Kuyt in at one point.

Riise's form continues to be poor.

Sissoko's form is much improved - tidier passing and more disciplined positionally.

Rotation is proving to be fruitful..great healthy competition for starting spots in the team, esp. Yossi n Pennant on the right and Leto n Babel on the left.

Is Kewell watching Leto???

Yeah Arbeloa's been cracking for us, fair play. He had a short little dodgy spell last season which made a few people fear he could do a Josemi on us, but he's got back to being consistantly very good. I'd say he's a first choice player as things stand.

Benayoun, Arbeloa, Mascher and Sissoko all having excellent games. Leto looks tidy, and both the forwards are finding space up front. If Crouch could really head the ball he'd be devestating......

Riise looks rather too agricultural imo, otherwise a pretty decent and professional performance so far.

True, this game is no sort of barometer for us at all.

WOuld like to see Lucas come on now and see what he can do. There's no real risk after all.
