Offering more versatility in terms of attacking than Finnan at the moment, which is impressive, although Finnan is still first choice for me, he seems to know exactly where to be, as does everyone in our team to be honest
That's what I love about us, we're so so organised it's untrue, and we now have quality players to carry the ball, run at defenders, whip in crosses and cut in and shoot. Benayoun will be a great little player for us (anyone at the match think he looked like a little boy??), Babel looks raw but v.promising, could prove lethal if played in the middle i think, hes finding it hard to get involved sometimes though, something he needs to improve.
His link up play with Yossi was a joy to watch. Really likes to get forward and overlap, extremely comfortable in possession and a great turn of pace. Excellent covering when Agger got caught out in the first half with the ball over the top.
Has stood out for me in what has been an excellent start to the season all round

He's quality, as I said I've had a firm eye on him since the start of last season at Depor (mainly for Barragan) and I was really happy when we signed him. I hope he can keep this up, if he can he'll definitely establish himself here and possibly internationally too.
I think he must be getting somewhere near an internation cap now. Selfishly I hope he keeps getting overlooked internationally for a little while yet. It helps to have a few players fresher after the International break. I think Pennant has benefitted from that.
We could do with another utility defender like Arbeloa. The fact that he isn't just a I'll kick people hard anywhere along the backline type but a genuinely decent player in terms of passing/control/crossing etc. is such an advantage. For the first time in a long time we have a better standard of cover than the likes of United and Chelsea. We are probably one down numerically in defensive terms though.

I agree and really hope that Rafa pulls a rabbit out of his hat before the window shuts.
