    Mascherano's Running Style

Anyone else think that Mascherano has a weird running style??

Only seems to be prevelant when he is on a longish sprint

Noticed it at the game last night a couple of times when he was chasing back to recover after a loose pass.

Really choppy. Bloody effective though cos he's a hell of a lot quicker than I'd have given him credit for.

Maybe it only looks weird cos he very rarely has to run at all, given that his positional sense is so good.

Or maybe its the strange perspective ya get sat in the paddock.........

Dunno about his running style but he's surprisingly quick and you notice it more at the match, IMO. He's pretty nippy over short distances and snaps into tackles.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He should try to resist tackling sometimes though. I have seen him close people down, shield them out of danger areas and into wide positions, but he does seem to just HAVE to try and tackle them. That can be dangerous, and there is no need to try to tackle if a player is moving away from dangerous areas.

Anyway, I think Mascher is boss.

Shaggy, I think he's pretty decent over 50-60 yards too.

That's what really surprised me night.

Nearly as much as how Arbeloa appears like the shop keeper on Mr Benn to clear up danger and then give one of his smiles..................

He should try it wearing a pith helmet and a safari suit next time...

No, but it's the new Spanish salute to the crowd as recommended by Luis "Franco" Aragones...

I thought the same, he was a lot quicker than i originally thought. His running style kinda reminded me of Michael Johnson!

Mascherano is indeed class. He is a fantastic midfielder. Am a bit worried about his agent/owner though. I hope we can get him in permanently as I am reluctant to get too close to him in case he leaves

I reckon it's his short legs that make his running style look so comical. Happens to the best of us. Long trunk, short legs.

said the same to someone during the last game. i reckon it is just cos he never has to run normally that we havent noticed it. best player i have seen at holding a position. nip forward, win the ball, distribute it and move back to your position to be ready for next time. i reckon he is the easiest person to give a pre match tactical talk to.

other than Momo......."run around and hurt people in a nice way"
                              in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again
