Carra has retired, Crouch is suspended, Stevie is injured, McLaren doesn;t seem to be willing to give Pennant a chance, could we possibly have no Liverpool players involved in the next England game? Hope so.

As for Stevie, just to echo what's been said, he was worth risking against Chelsea due to the magnitude of the game but also knowing he would miss games we were expected to win regardless if him playing. We should have much more than enough without Stevie to beat Derby comfortably so he's certainly not worth risking.

My concern is I bet McLown will risk him irrespective of whether he has fully recovered, and I bet Stevie will want to play as well. I imagine they may go down the painkilling injection route just to get him on the pitch, given how England are so desperate to win those games.

No Liverpool players in the England side is great for me, it means I can support whoever England are playing without feeling bad for our players!

              So will I.

There'll be no reason for him not to be picked for England if he plays for us on Saturday, but I think it is safe to assume that won't happen.

Because he has already played for us while carrying this injury by taking pain-killing injections, I can well imagine (given how important the upcoming games are for England's qualification hopes) that MCLown will likewise want to take the same chance with him. Unfortuantely I can't see Stevie putting up much of a fight, in fact knowing him he'll want to play as much as MClown will want him to play

We shouldnt even release him to report for the squad.

And Gerrard should declare himself unfit.

That's the thing, if he's not playing for us in order to help his chances of playing for Ingerlund, i'll be fecking livid. If he misses out on Saturday, there's no way in hell we should let him go and join up with the England squad.

McClaren and the Leeds/Chelsea supporting BNP fan club can feck right off.

Don't think so - these are 2 massive qualifiers for us and Gerrard will be very keen to play himself

He needs to get his priorities straight then.

Suppose it's hard as a player in this situation, doesn't want to let his country down and also personally he wants a crack at one of the trophys he hasn't won (maybe his last chance at the euro championships), but of course he doesn't want to let his home fans down, only he'll know if he's fit enough

I don't yellow teeth will ever come to Pennant, he loves Wright Phillips and the crocked Dyer. He will probably end up playing Downing on the right before he plays Pennant. The toss pot
agreed - I saw Stevie missing this one as soon as I heard he was out with a broken toe. It's the squad thing innit.

On the other point, Pennant isn't going to get in the England team by whinging about how he thought he was doing well enough after 2 good games. Do it for a season lad then you'll get a chance [and keep your gob shut too]

Would I have got married during the football season ?
                            Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'
