    Pennant-England?

Now, you know me, I dont give a **** about England, but seeing as Beckham is out with a knee injury and a squad is due to be named tomorrow, has Pennant done enough to get a call up? Papers are talking bout that ****** bentley getting called up. But I think Pennant deserves a shot.

Pennant is deserving of his chance but to be honest I'd rather he stayed behind and had a nice rest.

true, would like all of our internationals to have a rest, but Pennant is defo deserving of a chance.

England's a waste of our players time and the coaching with McClown will probably make him a poorer player.

Pennant should have got his chance before McClaren brought back Beckham.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Good shout Parm,i think Pennant has carried on his form from the back end of last season and he has proberbly been our most creative player this season.the lad is improving all the time and i'm quite confident to have him on the right for us.I can't see how Queresma or any other right winger would of been better at the moment tbh.If only he could score a few more goals then he would tick all the boxes required from a winger.

In terms of England, you only have to look at the inept man they call a manager in charge.Don't expect anything from this puppet. He's a yes man, thats all.

In the absence of Beckham and Aaron Lennon then I think we should have Cole, SWP, Bentley and Penannt as the players in teh squad to cover the wide positions. They are all consistantly good PL performers and there is a reasonable amount of variation in their styles. We obviously lack a genuine left sided winger of any note but we can't magic one up.

I think Pennant definitely deserves a shot and should have been in ahead of SWP at least until the start of this season as Wright-Phillips form has been woeful. Pennant seems to really want the call up but I get the impression that his face doesn't fit with McClaren.

Of course it doesn't, he's never played for Utd.

With McClaren in charge it really wouldnt surprise me to see Wes Brown playing right wing
