I'm sure he'll be a loss but when you think about it,we've just made the best start to a season since Rafa came and it seems thats due to the changes Rafa made to pre season, changes Pako apparently didn't like so I'll trust Rafa on this.Him saying he's surprised about it though leads me to believe that Pako was just looking for an excuse to leave

which makes me think it must have been something more serious that happened in the last few days before that toulouse match, otherwise I doubt he'd have left us in the lurch (l u r c h)Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostYeah, the timing of all this has made it much more complicated.Last edited by Morph; 01-09-07, 12:29 PM.Thomas Hicks Senior

There are probably many people behind the scenes who have worked with paco long enough to at least mimic his role until Rafa finds someone good enough for the long term. I dont think this will have a negative effect at all, if paco has implemented his ideas then they will pretty much run themselves. And then we have Rafa.
Its a shame as Im sure Rafa has lost a friend and someone to bounce ideas off but thats all it is.

It seems that we have people who have been working close to Pako and assisting him in his work, both on and off the training field. I reckon Rafa will sort it out with their help.--== Because the gang and the government is no different ==--

I would imagine preventing that is part of the contractual issues being sorted out before he leaves. I suspect he will end up back in Spain but the other top teams would be foolish not to try and get him.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostDon't normally watch Soccer Saturday, but saw 5 minutes of it today and Thommo seemed to give credence to the rumour that Paco might join one of the enemy."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
