Without Lampturd Chavs won`t have it easy at Villa. Hopefully agent Carson will have great day and Ashley Young will celebrate his english call up in style scoring past " best european goalkeeper of the year . Villa will win 1:0 and we will be top till May bringing Number 19 home

Still...although it's meaningless in the grand scheme of things, it's always nice to be top, and on Saturday night we should sit ATOP the Premiership.

Anyone know who our game in hand was/is scheduled to be against?

Two of the teams above us (Chelsea and City) play on Sunday, and Wigan are away at Newcastle.

Assuming Wigan lose or draw, should we beat The Rams tomorrow we will be back at the top of the league - for 24 hours, at least.

When was the last time we were top of the table? Was it under Houllier when we were unbeaten for the first 12 (or so) games before collapsing spectacularly?

          whens that ever stopped you?

Well that was kinda the intention. No need to get any balloons or streamers out, obviously, but it's just bloody nice to be top of the table. Or it will be.

Surly we can't drop points at home to Derby, can we?In the past we have slipped up when it really mattered but, somehow, this season i have a real belief and feeling of security in our squad.Even thow our talismen are proberbly out,i'm not worried at all.Now that feels good.

                              Are you lot being sarcastic?

I must admit I felt quite fuzzy and warm when I looked at the table and realised we're likely to go top tomorrow.

Wouldn't it be marvellous if Scottie Carson can do us a favour and help the Villa beat Chelsea on Sunday. We'd then be top (albeit probably level on points with Arsenal) of the league and still with a game in hand.

The title will be in our hands.
