Transfer Window - times nearly up

And isn't it great to know we can all slope off to bed before midnight for a good nights rest. No panicking to see if we've pulled a last minute signing out the bag.......a la Simao. Or waiting 'til 1-1.30 am to see if there are any late announcements from the club. Peace.

Meanwhile over at KT, I bet its going frantic..........I remember the days!

Why does everyone want a right winger when we have Pennant and Benayoun and Babel have looked good there as backup (even if they need time to settle)?

I really think with Kewell out until the end of eternity and the other options being Riise who is limited or Babel (who has looked like he needs a bit of time to settle) we would want a left sided player more. I'm actually pretty happy with the squad though.

Having said that another utility defender in the style of Arbeloa would have been nice.

I agree, just at the time of agreeing that STUPID bet with Maestro I didnt think Pennant was going to cut it, and I was impressed with benny yoon last week too. To be honest I am very happy with the squad, in an ideal world we probably need to strengthen cb/lm/rm...in that order but we already have quality there so its not as important as in previous years.

Overall I am 100% pleased with our tfr activity even if Rafa could have helped me out a little today and picked up someone for the wing!

Well, he signed a crow and a crow has two wings........so he actually signed two out and out wingers, one right wing and one left.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Bad man to bet on LFC transfers with. I'm mildly surprised we didn't buy any young attacking wide players though (I guess we got Leto - I forgot him).
