It wouldn't be an incredibly difficult game if we played our first team I don't think, I really wish we'd had an easier draw to give our kids a bit of a go

No doubt about it, especially if it's at Hull. Hull are ****ing MENTAL.

I once saw about a dozen Hull loons at an old Division 3 game charge out of their away end, cut across the corner of the pitch and jump into the home end (which was a terrace that, at the front, sloped down to below pitch level) feet first. Inevitably utter chaos ensued. Funny ****.

Dont get me wrong I would be very happy if our reserves/subs played and won this competition, but if we lose to reading I genuinely wont care too much.
We really do have bigger fish to fry this year.

Don't really care about the competition, it's always nice to win a trophy but if the only thing we won all season was the CC then I don't see it as much to brag about.

My main interest in this competition and why I look forward to it more than the FA cup is to see our young/ressie players coming through and see them getting the opportunity to play with more experienced players and see how they come through it

Reading will be fighting for their survival. Coppell is a realist and has no interest in the Cup competitions, only PL status. It's a easy draw IMO when you consider our squad now.

I think we will take them, we certainly have the squad and confidence to take them, while they on the other hand, should be lacking in confidence.

Rafa said he's gonna try to win every trophy, which I think is just right.

It will give the likes of Crouch, Voronin, Yossi, Babel, Momo, Lucas etc. a chance to start and maybe play their way their way into Rafa's first team plans. Added to the fact that a few younger players will get a run out too, I'm really looking forward to it this year. The longer we stay in it and the more competitive games for our 'fringe' players, then the better.

If I was still a gambling man, the CC would have been a cert for me with the quality we have in depth.

With the squad we have and confidence sky high Reading will be easy pickings even with a second string squad.

What sort of team would people like to see? All out youth/reserves or a bit of balance? We have two, at least, for every position so we could feel a strong side made up mainly of members of the first team squad that haven't played so much.
