Didnt read the whole thread but people are saying its only derby.
On Tuesday it was only Toulouse.
If we give Pompey a good thrashing is it going to be only Pompey?
C'mon lads, it was 6-0. Dont say anything bad about it because we cant do much better than thatContrary to popular belief, I have huge genitals.

We are creating a LOT of decent chances. Could of had 10 today and 5/6 against Sunderland, and a couple more against Toulouse. All our strikers are scoring, and from midfield we have Alonso, Momo, Babel, SG all on the score sheet.
We are approaching Rafa's ideal, goals from many players all over the pitch.

This guy's gonna be such a star, very impressed with how quick he's settled. Exceeded my expectations already
Still early days but already the lad has shown that he has the quality and the character to make a huge impact. He's looking like a friggin steal.Never knowingly optimistic

Can't agree more. Torres and Voronin, both on the scoresheet again today, seemed to have acclimatised and slotted in very nicely. As for Babel I thought he was onthe periphery of the game, although his goal superb. At this stage, he seems to be better suited to being an impact player coming off the bench, but hopefully he will improve with age, maturity and experience.Originally posted by WILF View PostBoth Torres and Voronin seem to have settled into the PL very quickly. Babel, although he scored a very good goal today, looks like he needs more time to realize his potential.
As for today, I always feel games like these are never a good gauge of a team's progress/standing. It was plain to see just how poor Derby were, - clueless, making basic errors etc. I always feel games like this are only really good for building up goal difference, which thankfully we've done. I think we do seem to be more ruthless and have a killer instinct about us now, even though we are still wasteful and not as clinical/prolific as we could be given the quality of chances we create.
I think we will be very close this year, in terms of depth I feel we have the strongest squad (only time will tell if it is strongest in terms of quality as well) but with so many false dawns before, I'm not getting carried away just yet.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Whilst attempting, pretty much unsucccesfully, to not get carried away by the way we have started I have to say that we are looking electric up front! Its been many moons since we have looked that dangerous and ive been fortunate to see all the games so far and its been the same in all. We are looking ****ing lethal, chances all over the place, pacey attacking football and now with Torres, kuyt, voronin and to a lesser degree Crouch we seem to have strikers who look like scoring every match. What a difference Torres has made...everyone looks more clinical with him playing. Its great!!
And as previously mentioned, this blinding start can only serve to raise confidence and at the same time scare the **** out of anyone else!!
Wasnt it only yesterday some derby player got interviewed and said he would take a 3-0? He was right on the money wasnt he?!
Keep it up at pompey now and lets have a similar conversation in 2 weeks!!
p.s Pennant has to have some credit too, im not his biggest fan but hes played extremely well so far, babel will take some time but already you can the raw talent there. Its looking like a very rosy future.

Should be no bother beating pompey though

It really is huge. Every ****ing game is like a Cup final!!Originally posted by wavydavy View PostPompey away is now a HUGE game in my opinion. Win it it and we can all look forward to Birmingham at home the following weekend (3 pts surely!) while Chavs and Scum go head to head the day after!
We'll miss Mascherano though. He is absolutely outstanding and we'll be a little less well-protected down there without him. Momo and Alonso are both top players but neither offer that impregnable shield in front of the back four.
Still fancy us to win there though. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Was´nt Mascherano playing more forward then Alonso?Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIt really is huge. Every ****ing game is like a Cup final!!

As for this game, to me it is looking more and more like Valencia looked at their best under Rafa. We seem now to have balance between defence, midfield and attack.
I still think though that we need two top class wingers on each wing and a better striker then Kuyt. I know he works very hard and does good things, but to often his touch lets him down and he needs to take his chances better. And Babel is for me nothing but a striker.
Still this could be our year, if we keep this up. Confidence is surely gonna build from now on.
