So glad we never ended up with Defoe.

Robinson should have had that overhead kick though.

Defoe is a good player IMO - he needs games though.
Robinson could never have stopped that overhead kick from that position. Maybe his positioning was wrong - but I'm no keeper so I don't know.

Looking at Crouch and Voronin or Kuyt, would you pick Defoe over either of these.

Possibly Crouch, but for me he offers something different to any other premiership forward. HEIGHT and tricky feet.

If Defoe was playing for us he'd be scoring goals - and then you'd be saying how good a player he is !!

His finishing is better then Dirks as well !

Can't agree with that, he brings very little over than pace, he has a powerful shot, but is not hugely accurate. He's the English Cisse.

I rate him Matt. Given a good run in a decent side he'd score goals. But you're welcome to disagree.

I agree, think he's a good player, bit of a poacher which is what we've lacked over the last few years. Before this season he's always scored a lot of goals at Spurs without playing week in, week out.

Would certainly be a good 3rd choice striker
