    How confident do you feel...

i know we shouldn't get ahead of our selfs, and at the end of the day it was only 3 points and only one game...

but how confident do you feel of us really going at it this year, just look at our squad. it's the best in over a decade, in recent years we've had to limp around with players that have not been up to it, but who is our weak link this time. we had traore, biscan, le tallec, smicer, cisse, bellamy. who is it this year? our squad is immense, we have the best squad in the league, it could ba argued that we don't have the best 11 but no one can argue against our squad, we destroyed a **** team, but a couple of years ago we could not have done it with our carra and gerrard, not to mention kewel and crouch where also out as was aurellio. the mancs have john oshea as their chameleon **** them we have Arbeloa that in his first game as a left back shut messi off, and can play any position in the back 4 very affectively. we have the best midfield in the world, and we have torres and voronin that will score buckloads of goals for us. plus hard working kuyt and big boy crouch...

we are the team to beat in every competition, and how the other teams must fear us, we have become a force to be reckoned with. i can't wait for pompey i can't wait for europe, bring it on, **** it and i want AC Milan again in the champ league, we would kill them this time around...

lets not get to carried away though, lets celebrate lets get drunk to night

After the start we have made, and the way in which we have been playing, it is extremely hard to stay firmly rooted to reality.
And **** it, im away with the fairies and enjoying this fine run of form, we are going to beat arsenals invincible record this year and win all 4 trophies at a canter. Easily.

    Honest.

I think the signing of Torres will be our shining light this season.

        How farken good is he?

He creates chances out of nothing, we haven't had that for a long time.

Add to that, the core of our team is 25 and under.

We will dominate the league for the next ten years.

I was hoping to get Tevez but I am so glad Rafa signed Torres.

He is incredible; I can't believe how quickly he's settled into the premiership.

The squad is amazing- I can't get my head around how Rafa did it

              It's good, isn't it.

Torres is ****ing ace. I love him already. Absolutely love him. At this stage he's looking a far, FAR better buy than Tevez. The boy's got the lot.

I reckon we have very good reason to be confident but cautious with the start we've made

Im trying very hard not to get carried away.
Great result yesterday, does wonders for confidence and goal difference, but the hard work hasnt begun yet.
Lets see if we can go to Bolton or Wigan on a freezing, wet and windy tuesday night and dig out a 1-0 win when we've played ****, then we'll see what this squad is all about, because thats what wins leagues.

That said, Torres and Mascherano are a class above any player on show in this country at the moment, and long may it continue. Torres is a complete striker and far far better than i thought he was.

Time to start thinking about Pompey who will give us a hard game, and we need to get a result which IMO will be harder than people think.

In the past couple of seasons we have hit our stride around October time and either kept pace or bettered the results of the chavs and the scum.

Last season we scored 12 goals in our first 10 league games, and by then our season was over. If we are top of the pile after 10 games, then I think we will win it.

I am shocked at how good a player Torres is, and he's only 22, imagine what he'll be like when he gets used to the pace of the english league

What I like best is the fact we are not lumping it forward at every opportunity and players from the back are making runs (did you see Hyppia on the right wing?!)

Plus the fact that Torres is a tougher ******* than I thought. Not that I'm an expert on the matter but does he have more than a passing resemblance as a player to Ian Rush?

                          We will win the league.

                          Why?

We are the best team and have the best manager.

We can afford to get a few injuries, the other top teams can't afford that.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
