Would you go ask for more to the boss? Of course you would. Thats all Crouch has done. He isnt in the media saying I want to leave ASAP because Im not playing. He knows now that hes 4th choice and will have to take every chance he gets if he wants to be in the team more often.

But last year his competion was Fowler who was finished at this level sadly and Bellamy who did'nt work out.
Torres is arguably the best striker in the prem on from now and Voronin keeps scoring. He could be our Solksjaer hopefully.I'm just saying he needs to work hard and show Rafa why he should be in the team.Talk is cheap.
He should be doing his talking on the pitch.

He will get his chance and i'm sure he won't dissapoint. His goalscoring record is pretty impressive at club and international level. He gives us a totally different dimension to the other strikers and the front line will change dependant on our opposition. The "possibilities" we have now upfront is 2nd to none in world football.Be proud of everyone as they will all have their say in bringing no19 back home were it belongs.

No player needs slagging off tbh.Especially so early.
would you not fancy scoring the same amount yourself with all the chances he gets????

          We won 6-0.
          We played great.
          We have fantastic subs.
          Rafa is in charge.

          That is all.

            I agree

But I also think he has the right to ask Rafa for more gametime. I understand your's and Rafa's point of view but Crouch done the right thing in saying it IMO instead of sitting on the bench all season wasting those beautiful legs away

Im off this til tonight, laters

Due to his height and the fact that he is a target man,he gets more ball than others.Just to clarify this,I think he should work his way back to the 16 if not 11.Talking to the press and them sensationalising it will not help him.

Mate, don't talk bolloks.Don't compare yourself or anyone else here with someone as talented as one of Liverpool and Englands finest footballers.

Give him a little respect.I've never seen Bobby fallon has just scored anywhere.Stupid way to talk about a player.

                  His movement is also good.

bobbyfallon talks as though Crouch is only ever handed goalscoring opportunities on a plate. Every striker in the history of world football misses chances, but there are some strikers who never even look like scoring, strikers whose movement isn't good enough and strikers who don't have the belief to keep getting into the right areas.

Crouch gets chances because his movement is good and he is a goal threat. Besides, I don't think he's half as wasteful as some believe. If he was, he wouldn't be scoring 18 goals in a season - or do the critics think he should be notching 45 every season?

You would swear he is Robbie Fowler or Ian Rush asking questions like that.
He needs to work hard, take his chance when he gets it and know his place.
Surely you want players who want to play? For me it all depends on what was said.

Just recently Mourinho praised Joe Cole for coming to him and demanding to know why he wasn't in the first team as he wanted to improve to be in. I want all our players to have that attitude. We need all of the squad to be pushing to start and pressuring the others to improve as well.

Was that at me or Bobbfallon?I just say that when teams have a big man on the pitch they have a tendancy to aim balls towards him.He is a good striker and he has alot to offer us,but not from the stands.
Do you honestly think that him speaking to the press about it has helped him?
That's all the press ask him when they interview him. It's a trap

I did'nt say I did'nt want him.Joe Cole has SWP ahead of him and Cole is better for me.Crouch has Torres and Torres everytime for me.

Crouch has Torres and Kuyt (and at the minute Voronin ahead of him). For me he has the ability to be at least second choice on that list. He does however need to be at his best.

I just think it is unfair to criticise Crouch for wanting what is best for him. People tend to give much too much weight to what is said in the press IMO. There have been no signs of him causing any problems in the dressing room so I don't see why he should feel like a tit.

We are a totally different outfit with Torres leading the line - he has got the lot, as you say.

One partnership that hasn't been tried, though, is Torres/Crouch. I'd like to see that pairing given a chance. I think Crouch is better than Kuyt, offers a greater goal threat and gives defenders a lot more to think about.

I genuinely believe Torres & Crouch would score a hatful between them. The one big thing in Dirk's favour is that he links very well with Torres and they're on the same wavelength.
You got to love the foresight of the club to sign Torres up to a 6 year contract as well. We will have him for his best years and don't need to worry about an extension for 3-4 years.
