    Strikers...

    All fecking scoring. It's incredible.

    Torres - 3
    Voronin - 3
    Kuyt - 2
    Crouch - 1

They all seem to grab the chance when they play, and net.

And Voronin has exceeded my expectations by miles.

Rafa's ideology about each striker getting 15 goals...i didnt think it was possible due to a lack of sufficient match time. But maybe it is?

Fecking great to see & reminds me of the scum when they had Yorke, Cole, Sheringham and OGS. They all seemed to score when they got a game too. Only difference is, our quartet is better

    Hear hear.

Just need Kuyt to get off the mark in the league now - sharpish, otherwise he'll have to make way. I think he's been playing well enough generally to justify his place in the side, but he needs to start scoring. 3 starts and one sub appearance in the league so far.

Obviously Crouch needs to get off the mark in the league too but for that to happen he needs to play. He's had seven minutes of action in the league this season.

I believe they can all get around 15 each, and I think Torres will get 20+ in all comps.

I think Torres will end up with 15+ in all comps.

The other three will probably net somewhere between 12-15 each (in all comps) this season.

It's so good to see goals coming from ALL over the pitch though, even Momo and Xabi have got off the mark early on. The only thing we're missing at the moment is a regular supply of goals from Pennant.

I really do believe that the amount of goals our 'wingers' Babel, Pennant and Yossi (and Kewell? Ha!) can contribute this season could be the difference between winning and losing the title.

The only problem will be keeping them happy.

I suggest that during the month of January, we lock Crouch up somewhere that no-one's ever been for a LOOOOONG time....

        Everton's trophy room?

Kyut misses for too many chances for my liking.

I know he scored two in midweek but he's yet to score in the league. He could easily have had two or three yesterday but his finishing badly let him down.

It's gonna be even harder to keep them happy cos it's not really four strikers fighting for two places. It's three fighting for one. Torres isn't (or shouldn't) be rotated much, if at all - he's our clear no.1 striker and the other three are scrapping for one slot.

Torres is our number one striker. So as you said it's really three into one.

                It's a fair shout.

I doubt Dirk will ever score more than 15 goals (in all comps) in a season for us.

If Kuyt is his regular strike partner that does put pressure on Torres, but it's pressure El Nino. looks like he can handle

Yes, that is indeed exactly what I just said.

                    Exactly.

Although I think Torres will be rested for certain games.

The domestic cup competitions and maybe a couple of European games once we've topped Group A.

Think he wont play in domestic cups and maybe on the bench for euro away games. Crouch is a cert for europe because the defenders struggle with him, maybe him with Voronin away would be a great combo.

Would like to see Torres and Voronin get a few chances together in the league, the Crow looks like a good poacher of goals.

But Kuyt brings other things to the team.He is unselfish, links midfield and attack so well.Once others around him are scoring and he keeps up his level then Rafa will be happy.Kuyt will get 15yet.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

                          Agree with that...

We all know how good we are in Europe, I think away from home Torres/Gerrard might sit on the bench. Maybe not for the first game away to Porto when we need to kick off with a win though.

To be honest I wouldn't even bother putting Gerrard or Torres on the plane to Besiktas.

Win our home games and pick up draws/wins in the aways. Win the group. Sorted.

Shaggy mate I think if we keep winning and Torres etc keep scoring and Kuyt is helping provide the ammunition then I don't really care.
I was delighted he scored the other night he well deserved it and yesterday he derserved one as well but his effort made Voronin's goal I'll be happy if that keeps happening.

His goals will come as you said his overall play is excellent the other players will make chances for him to.

I also think we can be to critical we scored 6 yesterday without Stevie G on the pitch we will have no problems getting goals this year and it just shows when Xabi gets a chance to push on he'll get his fair share to.
People have criticised Xabi for this in recent years but we can see the role he has had to play some people have to sacrifice for the overall good Xabi(holding role) Kuyt link up player and Pennant create for others.
They will all get a return and I'll be happy as long as they do their jobs properly.
