Is it just me or do a lot of people on this, and other Liverpool forums, have drink in their mouths while browsing the threads ??

"EST 1892 will take no responsibility if you are drinking while on forum" should be put up as a health hazard disclaimer on the front page of the site...

      Unbeleebable !!

We haven't really, though. At all. These particular stats are convenient for a certain argument. They only go back three years. Why just three years?

Go back a bit further and you incorporate £30m on Wio, £28m on Veron, £18m on van Nistelrooy. There are others....you get my drift?

You should probably add around £20m to what ManU have spent. That is what they will pay for Tevez.

The reason to why we have spent more or less the same as ManU is that they get better paid for their squad players. We had to sell our squad players for more or less nothing and ManU have sold them for £3m+.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Also why is Tottenham not mentioned, according to sky they are the 3rd highest spenders in the past 3 years.

We have not signed him yet, but probably yes. ManU have agreed to sign Tevez, they can't back out of the deal. We can still make the decision not to sign Mascherano for £18m or whatever the transfer fee is.

Think they can walk away form signing him, it's a loan deal for 2 year with the option to buy him at the end at a set price.

From what I heard they have already agreed to sign him but I could of course be wrong. It has happened more times than one.

I heard that, since Abramovich came to English football, Spurs have spent more than anybody else with the exception of Chelsea.

They can afford it, the amount they charge for tickets.

                                Spurious stats.

I'm sure if you picked a slightly longer time period we'd be miles behind Man U.
