    Cheers for the link fella

Good interview and shows Carra really is very clued up on football matters and comes across as more intelligent than most English football players. Loved the response when they said about watching the England game on t.v.

Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Carra speaks his mind and articulates himself very well as usual. I like the comment near the end about a possible meeting between Carra and Arrigo Sacchi so that Carra can learn from the great manager. One of the presenters said that Carra should clear his diary as Sacchi is a man who talks and taks and talks.

Basically that no one expected it and that he got on well with Pako but feels we will move on. Nothing very controversial.

Typical Carra interview...knows what he's talking about and also knows what to say and what not to say. He's bound to stay in the game as a manager/coach when he quits.

                    Article goes on to say

Carragher’s versatility, although one of his undoubted strengths, could be argued to have been to the detriment of his international career. He retired from international football at the age of 29 with 34 caps, despite not having started an England international at centre-back.

What a ****ing disgrace that is, no wonder he retired..good on you Jamie

I also totally agree - it seems such a logical progression - but he's said repeatedly that he has no intention of going into management, coaching, or indeed staying in the game in any capacity. He just wants to get pissed and follow the Reds up and down the country and all over Europe

Remains to be seen though whether he's a man of his word, in this case.
