Agree with Al's point above and the points made subsequently, if Gerrard prioritises england to the detriment of his injury he should expect repurcussions when he returns to the club.

Truth is he would never have been risked if England weren't in such a precarious situation in the group. That ****ing Clown has a lot to answer for. It's our £30m, £100k a week asset he is gambling with. Get one game out of him for England and he may be out for us for another 3 weeks or a month. How can that possibly be justified?

I wonder if there will be a compromise (of sorts) with SG starting on the bench ready to save McClown's arse if things start going tits up.

Yep. Given how hopeless england are and how desperate McClown is, I can see this being the more likely scenario

And lose 3-2. I'm English but I'd still laugh.

I fear that you and Red G are probably more likely to be correct.

This is a worrying quote. FFS lame horses are treated better. The sooner Ingerlund dont qualify and Mc****wit is sacked the better

But Mc****wit insisted: "We will take whatever action is necessary to get Stevie on that field. I've got to do what I've got to do to make sure we get the best players available to help us win this game.

"I think I have the authority to make that decision. I have to do it. It is my job."

This is what happens when you give a person like McLaren a position of such power, he was mediocre at best at 'boro and was never going to make the step up to International level management. He's a ****ing embarrassment to English football.

Gerrard will get slaughtered by everything and everyone outside of LFC if he doesnt play. We wont be happy if he plays but that'll more than likely be all forgotten about in a few weeks, It wont be by the nationals if he pulls out. For the easy life, Gerrard will play.

What i can't understand is that he's carrying an injury that everybody is aware of, surely a fitter player would/could give 100% in that game - Stevie will just plod about.

...and what? The dull **** chooses NOW to start doing it?! :whatever:

He really is a ****ing ****, I hope England get ****ing mullered and he's sacked immediately after.

I think that a lot of the press understand and would be willing to forgive. I think as a whole with the media they understand that McClown is the problem.

I dont. You only need to look at SSN now. Everyone is on saying 'oh Ive had injections and its fine' or 'He should play' etc etc. Even his squad mates are on saying how they'd have injections.

Well he trained today, so I would have thought that is a clear indicator that he's going to play.

They asked ****ing that Manc Ray Wilkins- he hates Liverpool. SSN only ask people they want to. Setanta isn't much better- that Angus Scott was saying he should play because its his country no matter what condition. That dick, he was having a go about Carra retiring.
