Alonso is much better than Gerrard, most fans are blinded by Gerrards apparent loyalty even though he wanted to leave a few years ago. Gerrard tries hollywood balls and always goes for the glory himself, an overrated player.Originally posted by IanTatt View Postalonso, no chance. only reina, Agger, masher, gerrard, torres would be courted by the other top teams.....

Roy Keane almost went on a free, don't see you lot do anything but praise him.Originally posted by Pacey Witter View PostAlonso is much better than Gerrard, most fans are blinded by Gerrards apparent loyalty even though he wanted to leave a few years ago. Oh ho ho, ho ho.Originally posted by MerseyCider View PostVoronin.
Rooneys past his best..sounds crazy at his age i know...but the foot injuries hes had have slowed him down imo, hasnt looked good for 2 years. Needs 5 or 6 chances to score as well....Tevez is too streaky, though i admit is class on his day. Saha is like bambi on ice...makes Andy Coles chance-to-goal ratio look reasonable as well

They won the league the year after they sold him.Originally posted by MerseyCider View PostBefore yesterday Rooney/Tevez/Saha had scored two goals between them. The stats dont lie. Ronaldo scored most of their goals last season as well. Taggart made a schoolboy error selling nistelrooy, its as simple as that.

You don't need the clubs permission to leave on a free. Just a willingness to completely **** the club over. But still, carry on wanking over him.Originally posted by Pacey Witter View PostRoy Keane wasn't a diehard Man Utd fan or a local lad, he didn't hand in a transfer request either.Like blood on iron

Id say Chelsea lost it more than manu 'won it'. But the table doesnt lie i guess.Originally posted by JimmytheJalopy View PostThey won the league the year after they sold him.
Manu were a one-man team last season, its as simple as that. Can you honestley tell me that they would have won without Ronaldo?

its quite simple. We have have been after 2 wingers, a left back and striker support for Torres. the scum are strong in those areas, so its logical that Evra, ronaldo, giggs and tevez would be wanted. I would take Scholes ahead of Benayoun though, and Carrick or hargreaves ahead of sissoko and rooney ahead of voronin or Kuyt. Vidic instead of Hyppia too round out the squad.

But where do we stand today?
- Rooney maybe, not sure he could link up as well as Kuyt. Deffo worse than Torres, he's not as complete as El Nino.
- Tevez, ditto.
- Ronaldo, definitely
Saha, Torres leaves him in the dust.- Giggs, probably.
- Scholes would not swap him for Sir Stevie.
- Vidic, makes too many mistakes to displace Agger.
- Rio, give me a break.
- Neville. NFW.
- Evra, while he's very good on the attacking front. The waiter is a better all round player.
- Carrick, ha ha ha a poor mans Alonso/Momo/El Jefecito.
- Hargreaves, ditto.
- Van der Sar :whatever:
- Bench, ours kicks theirs into oblivion.
Quite an improvement is it not?
Am I wrong?
You're wrong!!

It's one thing to wear your red-tinted specs but you don't really believe that NO-ONE from the Manchester United squad is good enough to play for Liverpool do you?Originally posted by John_Gotti View Postthe only one I can see in their present squad is...............................................
No one I am afraid.
Vidic & Rooney for starters. Rooney & Torres? You'd love it.

I'll tell you the stats shall I?Originally posted by MerseyCider View PostBefore yesterday Rooney/Tevez/Saha had scored two goals between them. The stats dont lie. Ronaldo scored most of their goals last season as well. Taggart made a schoolboy error selling nistelrooy, its as simple as that.
That's the top 10 league goal scorers from last season. Ronaldo scored less than a quarter of them. Not exactly 'most' is it?Code:Total % Ronaldo 17 24 Rooney 14 20 Saha 8 11 Solskjaer 7 10 Scholes 6 8 Park 5 7 Giggs 4 6 O'Shea 4 6 Carrick 3 4 Fletcher 3 4
Also in case you hadn't realised, United won the league last season - without van Nistelrooy.Last edited by eric le roi; 08-10-07, 12:45 PM.
