Alonso is much better than Gerrard, most fans are blinded by Gerrards apparent loyalty even though he wanted to leave a few years ago. Gerrard tries hollywood balls and always goes for the glory himself, an overrated player.

Rooneys past his best..sounds crazy at his age i know...but the foot injuries hes had have slowed him down imo, hasnt looked good for 2 years. Needs 5 or 6 chances to score as well....Tevez is too streaky, though i admit is class on his day. Saha is like bambi on ice...makes Andy Coles chance-to-goal ratio look reasonable as well

Manu were a one-man team last season, its as simple as that. Can you honestley tell me that they would have won without Ronaldo?

its quite simple. We have have been after 2 wingers, a left back and striker support for Torres. the scum are strong in those areas, so its logical that Evra, ronaldo, giggs and tevez would be wanted. I would take Scholes ahead of Benayoun though, and Carrick or hargreaves ahead of sissoko and rooney ahead of voronin or Kuyt. Vidic instead of Hyppia too round out the squad.

There was a thread a year or so ago, where someone asked who in the manure team would get into a starting liverpool libe-up. The list was longer than we would have liked.

But where do we stand today?

• Rooney maybe, not sure he could link up as well as Kuyt. Deffo worse than Torres, he's not as complete as El Nino.
• Tevez, ditto.
• Ronaldo, definitely
  Saha, Torres leaves him in the dust.
• Giggs, probably.
• Scholes would not swap him for Sir Stevie.
• Vidic, makes too many mistakes to displace Agger.
• Rio, give me a break.
• Neville. NFW.
• Evra, while he's very good on the attacking front. The waiter is a better all round player.
• Carrick, ha ha ha a poor mans Alonso/Momo/El Jefecito.
• Hargreaves, ditto.
• Van der Sar :whatever:
• Bench, ours kicks theirs into oblivion.
