Riise and the selling of the CL medal

Does anyone know the outcome of the story a while back about Riise trying to sell his CL winners medal to some guy in the back of a car.

Wasn't there some grainy video or something??

I'm thinking may be because of the video where he is shown joking about selling the medal, might be used as a defence by the rag?

Either way it's clearly bollocks. As if a well paid footballer is going to put a treasured medal up for sale on ebay.

Someone posts an item for sale on ebay saying, outlandishly it is a "genuine CL Winners medal", then Riise is shown on a home-video joking about it selling his medal, and some moron at the rag has put 2 + 2 together. Geat journalism that.

If I recall correctly the one for sale on e bay was one of the extra winners medals that Uefa have made to give to what they lovingly refer to "The greater Football Family"........................... basically they are given a momentos to the fat cat corporate sponsors


A player sweats blood to get one of those but a fat cat corporate sponsor only has to throw a couple of million of his companies profits (tax deductable) at Uefa to get one
