I can't stand the odious little twerp but I'd have him. He's the only player I've ever said that about from that shower of bitter filth from Scumchester, but I'd take him because a) he's brilliant and b) he's a Scouser. We've turned ex-Bluenoses around before and we'd do it again.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

the fans would have it because a) the bitters would hate it b) the Mancs losing there best player and they would hate it c) the bitters would hate it

I would take him because he is a class act.

Rooney's a truely brilliant player & lets face it if he had been a red & not a bitter we'd all love him. Would I take him now, of course I would, but as it is we hate him & he hates us.

On a different note, why has SG wrote this book. He's got more dosh than he'll ever need & whilst the book is pretty mild, inevitably the tabloids will serve up some less than helpful headlines. We've already had the I hope the Mancs die on the pitch headline, what next.

Why couldn't Stevie have waited until the end of his career before releasing an autobiography, eh ?

Does he really need the cash now ?

All this 'I nearly attacked...', 'i want man Utd to die', 'sign for us Rooney' etc etc

                  *sigh*

If you think about it, there IS a chance Rooney could come to us eventually.

Let's suppose we DO win no. 19 this or next year AND / OR the CL again. The Mancs win nothing of note again. Rooney's contract is then coming to an end (2010). Ferguson is gone. His battle with Moyes has been dragged publically through the courts. His stock is as low as it's ever been with the Bitters. He's not the sort to go abroad (especially at 23/24 - can you really see him settling in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan? I can't). He lives in the NW, and sees his & Colleen's family regularly. Where's he realstically going to go? He's on £100K a week, is Chelsea that attractive? Maybe - more money talks. Return to Everton is a no-go, and Arsenal have potential and a big ground, but little else. Spurs? Newcastle? I don't think so.

He may even have a little-un on the way by then.

Does he risk up-rooting the family to a new country and culture, or take his new wife & mum daaarn saarf for the roubles, risking making her unhappy by being away from her mam, when she has a new baby?

So can he do any of this when there's a trophy-winning club on his doorstep? One which contains mates of his who are scousers, and will allow him to live where he currently does, and give him CL footy and pay him close to £100K a week. ANd on top of this they're going places under Rafa and now have a realsitic chance of the title.

Money talks. If we offer enough at the right time, he'll come.

If he signs for Liverpool, he'll risk his family's lives... Mancs and Bluenoses will be a big big threat to them...
