sorry, meant Hargreaves is supposed to be fit to play, not SG.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostI'd want to hear that from the LFC Dr. before I believe it.
thing is, everyone seems to accept that if he plays on Saturday, he wont make the Russian game, which is easily the most difficult match.

This is the stupid thing about it - why doesn't McClown rest Gerrard for this game to ensure he is fit come the Russia game? Unless he is gambling that Lampard will return for that game?Originally posted by Parm View Postsorry, meant Hargreaves is supposed to be fit to play, not SG.

The best compromise (and i hate the notion of doing that to appease ingerlund) would be to leave him out tomorrow. England will win with or without SG. So rest him and give him 4 extra days to get fit and play against Russia, which is without doubt, the tougher game, where he'll be needed more.

Well and good to say that, but if he DID aggrevate it, what exactly are we gonna do? McClaren doesnt have to give a **** cos there's no comeback.Originally posted by Manofthebog View PostBored of it now, but I wouldn't want to be Mr. Gerrard or then again, Mr. Turnip McClaren on Thursday morning, if Mr. Gerrard reported back to Melwood with his injury aggrevated.

If he comes back to us in a significant;y worse state than when he joined up with England then I feel it is incumbent on us to take legal action against the FA a la Newcastle/owen scenario. It's one thing when a player gets injured on international duty, it's completely another if the international team takes a huge risk on a player they know to be injured and he aggrevates his injury as a result. The former situation is unfortunate, the latter is reckless and negligent IMO and there must be recourse for clubs who suffer as a result.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
