He doesn't look like a footballer. He should work in a bank.

    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I disagree, I have kept a eye on him since we were first linked and have always been impressed with him, especially considering his age and the fact he plays in defence for Newcastle.

If he was right-footed it would make more sense to replace Carra in time. Left footed CB - we've got Agger, who's also very young. We need to keep a balance of right and left footed CBs if possible. If possible I'd rather go for Richards but Taylor is a good young player. If he's available for a sensible price and sensible wages we should at least be interested.

Little ****e kept on turning me down though. I showed him mind. Bought Micha Richards and won the treble while he wallowed in mid table obscurity at Newcatle.

So yea he's a good player*

i'd be amazed if we got Taylor.
He's a Geordie through & through and only wants to play for newcastle. he's just refused an improved contract but wants to stay there but feels he's being underpaid because he's a local lad done good. i'm sure Newcastle will return to the table with a better offer, he'll sign it & that will be that.
                good young player though.

It's not as though Newcastle are in a strong negotiating position

They're not exactly flush with defenders are they?

defo one to keep an eye on, Looks like if Newcastle upped his wages to say £35k a week then he would have signed. With his contract running low, if a decent fee could be agreed and wages sorted, then we could have a real bargain on our hands.

Actually they are.Sam has bought well this summer. For central defense he bought Rozenhal and Cacapa ( from Lyon), Left Back - Enrique ( from villareal) and right back Beye ( from Marseille). Add to this Amdy Faye from Bolton.
Taylor will find chances hard to come by.

IMO Newcastle will offer him a new contract with improved contract and he will accept it. If not I think we should be in for him. He is a decent defender and has enough quality that Rafa will be able to work his magic on him and convert him into a top class one.

He is the second best young english defender after Richards.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I agree. I think he's a player of immense potential.

His progress as been somewhat hampered by injuries over the past few years but he definitely has all the attributes needed to become a top class centre back.

Would be a very shrewd purchase if it happens.

I'd be happy for him to join the mighty reds.

He was immense for Newcastle at time in the last few years - in possibly the worst Prem Defense that Did not get relegated.
