    Does that include Gerrard?

But he was displaying distinct signs of unhappiness in the summers of 2005 and 2006

I thought Crouch looked a little 'lazy' in pre-season compared to the other strikers and he's not as mobile as the other 3 either. However the seasons barely started and i'm sure he'll get his chance.

and he nearly went. If someone displays real unhappiness and it is at risk of ****ing up team spirit morale etc then without hesitation he should be shipped off. No matter who he is. That said obviously the manager needs to have a chat and see if any obstacles/problems can be overcome but if not then bye bye. Gerrard or not. Certainly now that Rafa has pretty much got the team working in harmony and we could probably cover him.
This being wildly speculative of course, Stevie is amazing and id be gutted but no 1 player is bigger than the club. Hey, its just me and thee on here today is it?

              I think it must be.

              How's the doovde?

Anyway, Rafa obviously didn't ship Stevie out despite 2 consecutive summers of unhappiness.
I think Crouch has every right to feel unhappy and if he wasn't then what kind of player is he? A Winston Bogarde, that's what.

or even an ole gunnar solwhatever....and I bet he looks back on his career and thinks it was a success.
Rather become a legend as a "predominately used as a sub" player for a big, successful club than a decent striker for a mid table team. Thats what id pick anyway.

Oh and great thanks, about half way through!! Comic genius!!

Solskjaer used to get more opportunities than Crouchie and he was up against Cole and Yorke who were both goal machines for SCUM.
Crouchie is up against Kuyt who is nowhere near Crouch's current goal scoring form.
Plus OSG only had to get in the Norway side whereas Crouch is trying to get in the England team.

I like Crouch and have always backed him.

But writing a ****ing autobiography ? ****ing hell. Who does he think he is ?

At least Stevie and Fowler achieved enough to warrant writing one, even then I rolled my eyes at both of them.

He's better off playing for the likes of West Ham and Newcastle than not playing at all.
I have no problem with Crouch, he's been a bargain signing and has only ever given 100% to the cause. He's never whinged publically even though he's been very harshly dealt with by Rafa.
I would have thought that a new contract offer was reassurance enough, wouldn't you? We need to think of ourselves and if we do we'll have no option but to sell.

No, not really, it says to me Rafa wants to tie down his 4 strikers. It wouldn't reassure me that Rafa was going to play him.
