And they only lost 2-1? Well done Crewe.
Dreams come true. Without that possibility, nature would not incite us to have them.

        Did Kewell get a game?
Just seen the lineup (he didn't play)
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Great to see Fabio back. Cant wait to have him back on the left, hopefully permanently. Judging from the report it looked like Alonso was playing CB, that would have been interesting. In that level of football he would've looked like Franco Baresi or something. I reckon he could even do it in the EPL if he was more dominant in the air.

It is great to see Fabio back. He has real quality and adds an extra dimension to our play on the left wing. I can see him bombing on against packed defences at Anfield a lot this season.

Let's hope he can stay fit for more than five minutes this time.

Interesting to see Xabi played at Sweeper/CB, a future libero in the making!

In the hole. A classic #10 apparently.

Wonder when we will actually see Aurelio on the team sheet, then? On the bench, perhaps? A less physical game would be a good option, against a less physical side. Do we have any of those coming up?

Have heard that coming back from an Achilles injury is very much a psychological barrier thing that has to be taken gently. Don't know how true that is but am pretty sure hearing your own tendon snap is a traumatic experience for anybody.

I see him playing as an attacking left-back (with Babel in front of him) against teams that come to Anfield and stick 11 men behind the ball.

With Babel cutting inside onto his right, and Aurelio overlapping and whipping balls in with his left, I think it could be a devastating combination!!
