Jan Tansfer Window Upgrades

Richards is the only player I want but I think with Sven and the Thais taking over, that ship has sailed.

He's also progressed way beyond being someone we could stick on the bench but he would be a brilliant long term partner for Agger or replacement for Finnan.

Next summer is another matter. Then we need to replace Hyypia and probably Crouch. Sissoko may also leave but I'm not so sure that we need to replace him because we have enough central midfielders even if he leaves.

I would use Pachecho as the new fourth striker and give Hammill a chance. So the only one we really would need to sign next summer is a replacement for Hyypia.

That means that Rafa can splash the cash on the one he want no matter what he will cost.

I would bring in a full back in January as Finnan is getting on a bit, aurelio is an injury waiting to happen and riise is ****. Arbeola looks great though.
although It depends if Insua steps upto the grade,

ideally with rafa buying 423,684 kids this summer it will mean we can promote from within for the next couple of years giving the other kids real hope of breaking through. The Only Big purchase i would like to make is Richards, but who knows Hobbs may be ready by the end of the season

I think we look ok, but could do with some cover at cb, even if it is only a 6 month loan or something. Maybe some experienced keeper as well as I'm not sure about Charlie boy being good enough. Once again a 6 month loan is all that would be required.

DelNido will probably want 50 million now that he will be playing in the CL (and will do very well IMO).

i dont think richards in Jan would be Ideal, if he came he is not ready to take the CB position from Carra. I would like him to ply his trade with City for another year or two and then he can come to us more of the finished article.

Lets face it, his value is sky high now, City dont need the money and think he wont cost much more in a year or two

Agree with his price, but if we sign him in Jan he can play at right back, get used to the team learn of Carra/Rafa etc then when needed can fill in at centre back he'd be ok.

HOWEVER i don't think we will ever sign him (i'd love it if we did though)

That would be utopia, however I can see him going to the scum as a long term replacement for Neville with the option of playing CB also

I would like a central defender. It's difficult to sign big players in January but maybe a smart move on a defender is plausible. And if we suffer injuries to big players/a lot of players then reasonable replacements possibly on loans when possible.
