I agree with many in this thread that an experienced Centre Half is the only addition I'd make in the summer, perhaps someone nearing the end of their current contract on a 6 or 18 month deal. Someone like Ayala who could fit in quite well but not another Pellegrino.

HOWEVER i don't think we will ever sign him (i'd love it if we did though)
I disagree I THINK we will sign him, he wont move for another year or two thus endearing himself to city fans even more. He seems to be more of a homebody than a wannabee Mockney so i think he will want to stay in the northwest and he wont move across the city so where is he going to go? Everton lol!!!! nah i reckon he will definitely be a red season after next where he can slot in as CB and try and get our third straight premiership title

The thing with Pellegrino is that he may not have cut the mustard at premiership level BUT his signing led to Hyypia being rested and this ultimately helped in the champions league run.
          We come not to play.

I am sure Schmeicel, Beckenbauer, Pele, Maradona, Garrincha are all to old to play now

and i am sure he helped teach Zonal Marking, but any slower and he would be running backwards

Only seen him recently in the Copa America final and it was a close run thing between him and Heinze for the worst player on the pitch award.

I know. I wasn't having a dig about why Pellegrino was brought in, just that if we wanted back-up in January, we'd need someone more physically capable of competing in the Premiership.

I think Rafa is understanding more and more what you need in this league to succeed, Pace and power.....Judging by his summer buys(early doors i know)

I would use Pachecho as the new fourth striker and give Hammill a chance. So the only one we really would need to sign next summer is a replacement for Hyypia.

That means that Rafa can splash the cash on the one he want no matter what he will cost.
any idea how this young lad is doing?? looked impressive in you tube (as do most) but i have a feeling this lad is a bit different.......

we are really spoilt for choice in our currrent squad.

upgrade crouch??? add some more speed up top
upgrade kewell???? maybe leto will be ready next year???

                          can see momo leaving

one transfer i would most like to see is macherano tied to a six year contract
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
