I think Rafa's got to forget about this issue and just get on with it.
In a perfect world we wouldn't be kicking off so early but we are. I know Pompey won't have had so many players away as we've had but essentially its the same for both teams. Also the likes of SG & Crouchy have been playing in England so for them its like a normal run of fixtures.

If Rafa's not careful, he's going to start to get into the players mind with all this. He's basically saying we can't prepare properly, therefore will the players be taking this negative attitude out onto the pitch with them?

To be fair Rafa has been coming out this season trying to get things changed almost every week, I have seen nothing on the pitch to indicate this has had an effect on them.

It is also not just him a lot of managers and coaches have complained about this and have done so in previous years. The difference is we pay more attention when Rafa says it and the press pay more attention to Rafa now we are topping the league.

Early kick offs are generally crap games, games after internationals are generally more lethargic than other games. While this is early in the season I still think it is ultimately the fans who suffer from the way matches are scheduled as we get more crap matches to watch.

Its not all about fitness. The lads have to be prepared for the match with tactics aswell. Rafa doesnt have the same plan for every match
