I think Liverpool should have a teamwide rule that no one on our team plays for their national team.

Indeed, an error on my part there.

An error that will probably cost me my life if Andriy reads these forums

Voronin to join Carra in international exile?

          I certainly hope so anyway.
Urkaine coach Oleg Blokhin has threatened to axe Liverpool star Andrej Voronin after an extraordinary row between the pair.

Voronin was used only as a substitute in Ukraine’s Euro 2008 qualifying defeat to Italy in midweek and a difference of opinion led to a frank exchange of views between the pair.

Blokhin has demanded an apology from Voronin but did little to quell the row himself, claiming the former Bayer Leverkusen star has put on weight.

Asked why Voronin did not start against Italy, Blokhin responded: “It’s obvious. Voronin hardly strengthened us when he came on.

"In fact, he was one of the reasons Italy got the second goal. He looks to me like he has put on an extra three kilos of weight.
"We created 10 chances in the match and only took one. It's no wonder there was frustration.

"But no footballer has any right to speak the way he did to his coach. If he wishes to shout like that, let him go to Liverpool and say it to Rafa Benitez!

"After the match, I apologised to the team. I know that it was partly my fault, too.

"However, Andrej obviously doesn't consider it necessary to apologise and, if he continues like that, then I won't think it necessary to include him in the national team!"

However, the 28-year-old Voronin, who has 48 caps to his name, appears unrepentant.

"You must understand that I do not welcome this situation, but I am no longer a child. I won't allow anyone to patronise me the way Blokhin did."

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

personally i didnt think voronin would be good enough for us, but im the first to say voronin has been a breath of fresh air for us and I love the guy and the player. Andrei, if your national coach doesnt love you **** him, we do. You now play for the best club team in the world and you dont need him. Tell him to eat ****.
