    Best World Managers List Issued

Hi Guys. Just read on one of the italian websites that the London Times has issued a list of the best all time football managers.
According to their experts, the late Dutch manager Rinus Michels has been voted first.

Scum Alex Ferguson is fourth while Shanks and Paisley are fifth and sixth respectively. Rafa came 33 rd.

Also Wenger is 10th and Brian Clough 7 th. Marcello Lippi is 17 th while Mourinho is 16 th. Believe it or not Erikkson came 46 th while Mclaren did not even make the list.

For those of you that understand italian the website is the one of the most popular Italian sports newspaper `Gazzetta dello sport` - www.gazzetta.it -

How on earth did Wenger come 10th when you consider Rafa came 33rd?

Mmmm. Biased though we are, am sure many would disagree with that.

Its from the times as well (i do think Matt Dickinson is a bit of a dick though)..

It's called modern day biased. Modern day events or people are seen as more significant than older incidents.

No Jock Stein in the top 10. Brian Clough should be higher than Fergie and possibly split Sir Bob and Shanks. Capello should be higher as should Trapattoni. Rafa needs to win the PL to justify a higher position than say Wenger.

Could you not say Wenger needs to win the European then? Don't forget Rafa won LaLiga twice

Has Wenger managed a side that has been relegated? Has he ever been sacked?

Swings and roundabouts to be honest. Wenger is a quality manager and so is Rafa.

He's not 23 places better than Rafa, and I don't think you can face off getting relegated vs winning the champ league, there could be any number of contributing factors to getting relegated, wheras winning the CL against the cream of Europe is a bit of a different matter
