I can't see any team that is better than us and we have the best manager.

We are favourites to win the PL if Reina can stay fit. We can be without any outfield player a month or two but not Reina.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      This is so true fella

Our whole style of play now is based around pepe`s style of goalkeepering cum sweepering. If he was to go out for any length of time we would most definitely be up **** creek unless the forwards started banging in ridiculous ammounts of goals to compensate.

It's a fine line between confidence and arrogance, and I think Pepe's on the right side of it (just)

Well said Pepe. Confidence makes you twice the player/team you would normally be!!!!!!!! So I'm glad we are (not over) confident

John Cross, credited with the article could have put more of an arrogant slant on Reinas words and stitched him up, but given that they come across as balanced then I get the impression that these are Reinas own words. Talking ourselves up is healthy I think. Reina comes across as confident without being over bearing in that interview. He is not disparaging towards our rivals. Paisley used to say 'Give them toffee' regarding comments on rivals, and I agree with that totally, but lets talk ourselves up, we are putting ourselves under pressure that way and pressure is what you have to contend with at the top in large measures.

I think it's different thinking it as a squad but saying it to the masses will invariably gee the opposition up,it's a bit like saying to the blue ****e we are superior, please stay in the background & whatever you do don't fight tooth & nail to get a result.
You can think it without mouthing it,massive difference,i feel we are inviting pressure the more we say it.

If you don't believe that you will win then you won't win anything. If you look at the teams that won the league then you will see one thing in all of them.

They are filled with winners that think that they will win every game.

You must believe that you can beat every team, not maybe beat them, think that you will win the game even if you play away against Milan or Barca.

I understand the mentality but i'd rather we just went about it quietly,i & we know we are a force to be reckoned with but i don't buy into the idea of giving every other team an added incentive to beat you by being so cock-sure of our superiority,i get the feeling this is a Spanish trait,i.e. the big "i am " syndrome, don't get me wrong,i like the confidence but you can't be cocky when you haven't won it for as long as we haven't,cockiness is for recent winners,we are in relatively new territory now, being top & staying there has added pressure now,we haven't walked the walk for a long time now,it's a pressure cauldron now make no mistake,i just hope we can handle it for all our sakes

you have to be confident to achieve success.
i cant see a problem with letting your competitors know such confidence exists within your team?

if we dont win the title it wont be because our players are speaking publicly about what they think we can achieve,so whats the problem with saying it publicly?

its about ****ing time to,i get the feeling previous liverpool teams just went through the motions, not expecting much.

our players are finally saying,i think we can actually win the title and people are saying hang on,dont be over confident.
**** that i say,be confident and let our competitors know how confident we are.

You've just got to take it one game at a time and after our start, 10 points in 4 games, we should be confident of beating Pompey.
I remember when I was about 10, LFC were winning everything in sight. I was genuinely distressed one weekend when we dropped 2 points away at West Ham (think they finished 3rd that season) with a last minute goal. In those days I really did think we had a devine right to win every game and was amazed when we didn't. It was incomprehensible to me that we hadn't won every game and I used to throw a right paddy on the rare occassions we dropped points.
