Just like to add that on todays performances Benayoun and Crouch have absolutely no right to complain about their lack of first team time. Both were terrible.

this game was was all but decided at the selection table. LFC were not good today.massive, massive dissapointment. on balance lucky to get a point given pompey had the better chances

A point at Pompey is a good result as that is what the top teams will be looking for - they only lost twice at home last season. Got to say though we were capable of winning it with the right team which would have NOT included Crouch.
Don't forget the game in hand and Scum v Chavs next week.

Torres had no chance really and did well to create what he did. We'd played 60 minutes of hoofing the ball from deep and kept doing it after he replaced Crouch.

I'm not going to blame the team selection, the rotation, Yossi or anyone/thing else. We played like **** and didn't deserve anything. That penalty they gave against us was as shocking as our performance. We didn't deserve to win. As I've been saying all the time if we've still got some way to go if we are to break the top 2.

Pompey are very difficult to beat at home. Rafa should have played with one of Torres or Gerrard, resting both at such a difficult fixture was risky. Crouch was terrible, Pennant and Benayoun were both poor.

I'm not too down with the result. Last season we would have lost this type of game.

And leave Crouch off, until he starts playing like he should. Voronin and Crouch is the worst partnership we have at the club. Where was Kuyt today anyway? Rested too, even though he was an unused substitute for Holland?

bollocks mate, this was one of our hardest games of the season, use the squad against Birmingham and porto next week not one of our toughest away games of the season.

Not starting Torres and Gerrard was a massive mistake, we were lucky to get out of there with 1 point.

The team he picked looked good enough on paper.

For me the players just didn't perform.

Xabi, Crouch and Yossi all had stinkers and we played way too many aimless long balls and random crosses.

We can all say Torres and Gerrard should have started but that doesn't say much for 'our strongest squad in 20 years.'
