You're spot there, revo. Torres would give Campbell and Distin nightmares with his movement where as Crouch basically stands in front of them, has zero mobility, and is open to be tackled at every opportunity. It's been an easy afternoons work work for Pompeys 2 centre halfs so far.

I wouldn't be dissapointed to see Crouch taken off at half time.

Andy Gray was saying before the game that we shouldn't be playing Crouch today as Pompey will deal with him easily. He was saying that we would have been better off with Kuyt today due to his movement. This was the wrong game for Crouch to play.
All we can do is hope for Torres as soon as possible.

He's the tallest man on the pitch and he can't head , his supposed good touch has deserted him and my days he is SO imobile, run and spin/turn is certainly not a strength.

Having him on the pitch is causing this route one crap.

He's also slowed things down every time the ball's went to him. We need to hit Pompey with pace and movement. Those ar the qualities that Torres gives us and not Crouch. Let's hope Rafa makes a change pretty soon because as it is we're not playing well and if it continues we could very weel end up on the wrong end of the result today.

crouch aint fit to lace torres boots, this is one of our toughest games of the season. not starting gerrard and torres is ridiculous.....we have birmingham at home next week , rest them then

Distin and Campbell well eat him alive, infact Johnson is now looking after hi with ease.

I honestly think he's believing his own hype (hence the stalling on the contract negotiations), he needs to get his head down and do the graft, become that nuisance again because right he's adding zilch to the team.
