Mine was a general rant at anyone who thinks the title's gone after 5 games

Just had to find somewhere to put it.

Some people are really ****ing stupid when it comes to criticising the team when they don't win.
            You know what ...

You're right, we shouldn't critisise our team when we don't win. But that makes you a bit of a tree-hugging indecisive pussy imho.

We played football out of this world in the first 4 matches and everyones' expectations for today's match were sky high. We finally have a team to challenge for the title, we defeated Sunderland and totally humiliated Derby ... I was expecting a win today and I'm sorry if I was hoping for too much. I know that Pompey away is one of the toughest fixtures in every season, but ffs, we are Liverpool. We are the best and we should wreack havoc on the pitches all around the country.

The team today totally underperformed and I was pissed off at Rafa for benching both Torres and Gerrard and not even including Kuyt in a trip to Portsmouth. Instead of that, we have had useless Crouch upfront and clueless Xabi Alonso, Yossi Benayoun and Jermaine Pennant in midfield. Thank flying **** that Pompey forwards didn't have their day today or we could have lost this match 2 or 3-nil. I know both Torres and Gerrard played a lot of games this and last week ... But they do get paid a lot of money for playing, so **** off. Shankly would have played Gerrard or/and Torres today, without a doubt (based on the Shankly v. Tommy Smith injured knee quote).

I know we all have different opinions and if I have a different opinion than some here, it doesn't make me stupid. The thing that really pissed me off was that some of the members here were annoyed by all the rant surrounding today's game, so they started using sarcastic remarks of our season being over - and are now claiming that all of us who were ranting about the 0-0 draw said the season is over and wank themselves off as if they're watching "Thick Tricks & Magic Sticks" porno.

I acknowledge and accept all the negatives and a (very) few positives from today's game. Sometimes you win, sometimes you loose some. Big deal. But it's really sad to see people on here who can't accept different opinions and are talking through their arses.

And another thing. "Manchester United dropped points at Pompey too" ... Since when are we comparing ourselves to those dirty ****s? That quote reminds me of a famous one "If all of your friends jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?"

I'm just disappointed today that we didn't win. We need to gain some space on the Premiership table as soon as possible and today's game was perfect to do that. But we failed. Unfortunately. **** it, that's football for you.

Cobain mate, if we can't win matches (such as away to Pompey) with the team we put out today then that means we're not good enough. I just think we didn't perform today due to circumstances (international matches etc ... etc ...) & said it numerous times in a number of posts tonight, so the fact we're a bit knee jerking is over the top for me, that's all.

Rafa did the right thing in benching Torres & Gerrard, even not playing Kuyt. He's seeing the bigger picture.

That just proves Rafa is lying all the time with that "we're thinking only about the next game" bollox

I know, I know, I might have reacted a bit over the top today, but I just hate excuses. I hate it when we play bad due to recent international matches, injuries etc. That's all

                  No, no he isn't.

He's thinking about the next game but still looking at the bigger picture.

It's just not you alone mate, quite a few people have been voicing their opinions about how Rafa ****ed up today but we should remember that he's made us play 2 CL finals in 3 years + it's clear that we're progressing in the league too.

By the way, Chelsea ****ed up a goalless draw at home tonight.

I love Rafa And I know that whatever he is doing, he is doing right as we're progressing in all the competitions. But I really wish he would have started with Torres or/and Gerrard today. We would probably score a goal in the first half.

Nevertheless, it's not the end of the world and I'm glad Chelsea ****ed up too today ... But I'm now getting worried about Arsenal Since when are they THAT good to be on top of the Premiership? That really caught me by surprise

some fair points maybe we all react differently to todays results thats fine - i think im right you think you are

when you talk of comparing ourselves with manure mate is that not the same as when people say oh yeah for instance boro away manure chavs and arse will all win there so we must ???

either way like it or not manure set the benchmark by being champs last year though i hate the ****s

they got a great start and didnt let up

i think we are goin to do the same and much as i wanted a win today - its not a bad result

i want us to hammer everyone and was disappointed with team selection but i take it personally when people have a go at liverpool - rightly or wrongly

either way come next april i still think we may all be sharing a glass or three of the al bubbly

I don't think Arsenal had that many players out on international duty but I'm not sure. They're a good side, but they're still an unknown quantity and lack strength in depth if they start losing one or two players, such as Van Persie. Still very early days. Portsmouth were top of the league that stage last season.

I'm on DJ's team in this one. FFS guys we would have won 3 or 4 today if we'd of showed a bit invention, for 10 or 15 minutes they were all over the show. Teams like Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal would have struck when the iron was hot as it were, we had em on the rops big style, just needed someone to deliver the knockout punch.
Dont like singling out individuals but for me the midfielders for us weren't at the races...
Alonso was very poor, i expect alot more from him and he can't have the old excuse of being tired as he barely played for Spain during the week as a result of a early red in there first match.
Pennant never looked anywhere near as threatening as he did against Sunderland and Derby. Momo was his usual busy yet frustrating self. Benayoun showed nice touches at times but he got knocked off the ball on so many occasions. In and out of the game, needs to sharpen up.
