By Firework Night we will all know

    Guys guys guys

Lets not all try to predict whether we are still PL champs elect this early.

I think the earliest point of this season where we will be able to assess our credentials is good old guy fawkes night Nov 5th

By the time you are standing there with your sparklers we would of played.

    Spurs at home
    Everton Away
    Arsenal at home
    Blackburn away

if we go through them unbeaten you can all sing and dance as we will be very close come may.

What do you think, 8 points at least ???
Forget the Flannel, lets talk footy

I'd like to see 9 or 10 points out of that, we need to win one of the away games. There is no way we should be thinking 8 points is acceptable, example is the scum got 3 points at the bitters.

Yup 10 points is what I said, I think two wins at home, a win away at the Bitters and draw at Blackburn

Chaps there's too much premataure ejaculating going on in here about title challenges and the like, looking ahead at fixtures and getting out calculators and what have you.

August has barely wiped has feet and although there are encouraging signs, that's all they are, signs. If we're still collecting points at the same rate come January then by all means start talking about a challenge but until then, while some doubts obviously remain, can we not just wind our necks in and concentrate on the job and leave the predictions aside until we've more to go on? I hate unrealistic extremes of assessments, one way or the other you're always open to egg-on-face.

Let's cool the jets and let the season take proper shape is all I'm saying.

                  status quo
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

10-12 points from that lot at least.
8 would be a disappointment imo
