Practically bumped into him in Wirral near where he lives, last sunday (he was about to go for a run - in full LFC training gear) and I have to say that he looked a lot slimmer, younger, browner and healthier than he ever does on photos or on TV.
My missus was pleasantly surprised.
He said hello. Which was nice of him.

I have been thinking the same. The last couple of years really looks like they have been a strain on him. He is a football maniac, so maybe he just can't quit working.
