I think Allardyce is perfectly entitled to have that opinion. After all, he is one of the most successful English managers in the country having won, erm, having won... hang on, what has he won? Oh that's right... **** all.

His greatest 'success' so far is losing the 2004 League Cup Final with Bolton to the mighty Middlesborough and that other great English manager, Steve McClaren...

He also achieved promotion with Bolton in 2001 but to counter-balance that amazing success, he was relegated with Notts County 3 years earlier. Nowadays, the self-styled 'Big Sam' is well qualified to talk about the Premiership as he is manager of a huge club which hasn't won a domestic trophy for over half a century. Sam is sure the good times will be back at Newcastle and he is delighted that they have recently renewed their sponsorship with a company with the same future prospects as 'the Toon', Northern Rock...

Allardyce is a bit of a tit for putting it across in the manner that he has done. But IF (and it's a big if) Rafa continues to drop key players for tricky away games, then i agree that we wont win the league.
