Yep, thought he was poor, it's all well and good having a nice bit of skill to get into a good position but if keep hitting the crosses straight out of play or at the goalie it's all a bit pointless. My opinion on him certainly is nowhere near to changing after tonight. They had loads of the ball and were camped in our half but after they scored created pretty much nothing.

He has no goalscoring instinct at all.Gerrard will end up at RW until we sign a top class winger.Pennant will leave with Crouch and Kewell this year.

Cant say I would be too sad over it
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

            1. Got a result.

            2. Rafa Benitez is still our manager.

            3. None of you moaning lot have any effect on it.

So the rumour that Rafa is using tactics from Est isn't true?
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Our problem was not keeping the ball tonight so with that in mind we didn't miss Momo(no disrespect Momo la), imo of course.

I have actually watched the game a second time and IMO the reason to our unbalanced team was Hyypia. He didn't had any worse game than any other player but by playing him we had a lower defensive line than normal. That ruled out any quick attacks and made it very easy for Porto to play with a high defensive line and put a lot of early pressure on our players.

Hyypia and Carra isn't good enough to play themselves out of a thight situation so they hoofed away the ball in situations that Agger should have passed the ball to Mascherano or any other close player.

                          We missed Agger a lot.

We actually got bossed in midfield alot though..can't remember Stevie/Masher actually passing to each other alot at all...Porto got their tactics spot on for me

and by spot on i mean,

                            1. we build alot of attacks through our fullbacks, who they pressured constantly
                            2. they pressured the midfield very well

Bull****. You can take the cat out of the jungle but you can't take the jungle out of the cat.

It's incessant diving like that and especially the ****ing rolling around afterwards that makes me cringe and ****ing angry, it's the only part of football I despise beyond measure and those pesky Portugese slime-****s seem to make an artform out of it (so do many many in the Spanish league). It's not only dishonourable, it's a disgrace to the fair game. Call me nostalgic or whatever you want, but I don't want any *****, not even the best of the best to grace the turf of Anfield in a red shirt when I have seen their antics for years before that. They might tone it down a little bit, but there will always be those cringe-worthy dives that would make me embarrassed to be a Red.

Furthermore, Quaresma is not all that.

with all the diving that went on tonight momo would have been sent off, the referee fell for it tonight big time
