Not sure why all the complaints. We played badly and got a point in potentially our trickiest away game, and that whilst we were down to 10 men for 30 mins. I'm pretty happy to be honest.

yeah just that quaresma showed excatley why no big european club wanted him this summer ... a bag of tricks, pacey, a good shot on the one side - and went down way too often, selfish, no end product, not one shot on target on the other side. all in all he looked like ronaldo when he was 17...

having a go at pennant is bang out of order. it really does my head in. the lad was one of our star performers so far this season and yet people turn on him after one stupid decision? yeah he's got to improve a few aspects of his game but he truely deserves his place in the side.

have to say, i watched the highlights again and thought quaresma wasnt all that.
but as for Pennant, i have never been a afan and yes he can cross the ball but in my eyes we need a lot more from our wingers, we need a goal threat from the wings and Pennant hs never been that, he deserves his place in the side because he is the best we have got, doesnt mean it is good enough though

Chelsea will probably have to play with their strongest starting XI in all six group games instead of being able to rest players a game or two. That will take away some focus from the league and they will probably a weaker team in the league before the CL games.

Because they are one of our title rivals and every point they drop increases our chances to win the league and it's a bigger chance that they will drop points if they rest players. Two dropped points like this will also create more unrest and drop their self confidence.

Ridiculous. Only last week or the week before fans were moaning that McClown hadn't picked him in the England squad.

Pennant was very stupid last night but he worked his socks off and was getting as frustrated as any of us with the diving and cheating from Porto.
