gerrard had a poor game, i agree, but so had finnan, mascherano, torres, babel, pennant ...

one thing though - gerrard's delievery from corners is horrible ... he shouldn't take them imho. plus he'd be a bigger threat in the box.

Dont think Masher hit a red shirt all night.
Torres lost possession every time he had it.
Sami was wobbling (great assist for goal though)
The defence was scrambling.
Reina's kicking wasn't all that and he looked nervous.
Ball retention was piss poor.

Good point away at Porto though!

and most of Carra's "passes" went out for goal kicks.

It was a shocking performance and a good point earned.

I'm not saying he's ****e here fellas. I'm only 24 so he has given me more great moments than anyone else in the red shirt (bar maybe Robbie Fowler, who is god). However, i was merely pointing out I do not believe he is as good as the media (in particular) woud like us to believe. You'd think it was his only bad game last night, far from it. I think this could be a defining season for gerrard for his whole career, let's just hope it's a good one.
