I think he was just the media's darling before/ after USA 1994 H. Sure he played in Seria A for Padova but not for long.

I remember that Wegerle was a decent player at QPR (before he went to Coventry I think).

Maybe we could draft somebody in to work alongside Rafa to learn the ropes as such? I don't know.
At the moment we haven't even got a right hand man to take charge should something happen.

            Discuss.
Nah. What manager would give his blessing to that?

And why would we want a number 2 to be our next manager? If a future manager wants to be learning the ropes he'll be doing it as a manager, not sat next to Rafa watching all he does.

There's no substitute for experience. How many number 2s go on to be great managers.

If they're really great managers let them go out and prove it. If they've not proven it at the point that Rafa leaves I don't want them at the helm anyhow.

If Rafa left us, I'd go for that loathsome, ungracious, **** of a man....Mourinho. I hate him but I know I'd love him if he ever managed us. I'm incredibly fickle
i couldn't bear to watch his style of football which I can only describe as Houllier up and under but with a smattering of match winners to make it pay off. Would rather watch paint dry than watch a Maureen run Liverpool team. The only pleasure I'd get would be hurling insults at his Matalan coat from my paddock berth.

LFC are here to win trophies, and for all his faults Maureen is a winner.

I'm a bit sad he's gone really - he livened up the PL with his egotistical ramblings, and it was nice to see how much we got under his nose. Now it's back to Utd v Arsenal [Taggart v Wenger].

                It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
                Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

Steve Coppell is a good bet.

If I had to guess, it will be Gerrard with Carragher as his assistant.
