            Plays for Blackpool?
Why would we want to sign a player of his age playing for Blackpool
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

            * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

He is only 20, so that may explain why. Still though, 20 is not very young.

sorry, your past it Milky, no chance of you playing for Liverpool now
What I mean is, he is 20 yeah, but has been rejected by lots of European clubs, unless he has suddenly sprung to life over recent months, he doesn't sound like the greatest prospect. We should be looking at obviously gifted players with natural ability. I guess Rafa must like one area of his game.

According to Wiki....D'Agostino signed a one-year contract in September 2007 with Blackpool

Unless there is 2 of them??? Unlikely, but.....

I can't remember seeing this mentioned anywhere else, where's AFII when you need him?
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                    Mine angry and defrauded young?

Michael D'Agostino began playing drums at age 7 after walking by a garage band playing in Uniondale, Long Island, New York. He started sitting in with local bands on Long Island by age 11 including the regionally known group "Cathedral". By age 12 he was teaching drums in his hometown. Michael earned eleven drumming medals between age 9 and 17 competing in the annual juried music competition for NYSSMA (New York School Solo Music Association). For four consecutive years Michael was also chosen to perform with the All State Orchestra at their yearly music performance featuring the best musicians from New York State.

In high school he continued to perform in jazz trios, rock groups and pit orchestras and performed in the summer as a percussionist in the Long Island Opera on the Sound Company at the age of 17. As a teenager, he studied drumset, mallets, and tympani for seven years with Jack Snyder from the Les Brown group. He was a percussion major at the State University of Fredonia and The Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York, where he studied marimba, tympani, drumset with Jim Petercsak. He also studied piano, theory and composition. At 17 he toured the Northeast with the Crane School of Music Orchestra. Michael was one of five percussionists in the Olympic Orchestra at the Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid New York in 1980. That same year he moved to NYC and began studying with world premier concert marimbist Leigh Howard Stevens. While in New York City, he also honed his compositional skills in many of the groups he performed with and started his own private recording studio, Intuitive Music.

Genesis, Shakti, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Weather Report, Peter Gabriel, Miles Davis, Stravinsky and Ravel are part of an endless list of bands/composers which have been an inspiration for Michael. Drummers such as Steve Gadd, Jack DeJohnette, Tony Williams, Jim Keltner, Alan White, Zakir Hussein, Stewart Copeland, Brice Wouassy from Salif KietaĆs band and John Bonham all had an influence on him. Michael has

Extensive experience with analog synthesis, sampling and MIDI. He was on the forefront of the electronic drum invasion in the mid 1980's and his drum sounds can be heard on recordings of Yoko Ono, and reggae group Third World. He also programmed drum sounds for Herbie Hancock's famed "Rock It" tour in 1983. While living in NYC Michael became immersed in the ethno music scene and formed a pop/world music group, "Serpentine", with guitarist Mitch Stein, keyboardist Steve Gaboury and vocalist Roberta Baum. He was drummer and composer for five years and they performed extensively. He also performed throughtout the Northeast with rock trio "Desperate Measures",which included Curt Golden on guitar and Victor McSurely on Chapman stick, both alumni of Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft and members of the League of Crafty Guitarists. Michael also gigged with the Trey Gunn Group including Tony Geballe on guitar. He also performed with Rumi translator Coleman Barks.

Whether performing in Central Park with bassist Mark White from the Spin Doctors to composing for fashion shows at "The World", Michael's fourteen year residence in New York City was a time to soak up many cultural and musical influences. This in turn has shaped his unique drumming style, a hybrid of rock, jazz, and world music in which he seamlessly a rhythmic tapestry.

Michael continues to hone his craft and has studied Indian rhythms with Jamey Haddad and vocals with Janice Pendarvis from Sting's band. He taught the Electronic drum workshop at the Drummer's Collective in New York City for three years and also taught electronic and acoustic Drums at the Sam Ash Music Institute.Currently he is a member of King Chubby with flutist Robert Dick, bassist Mark Egan, Ed Bialek on keyboards and samplers, and Will Ryan on reeds, homemade instruments and percussion. He is also working on a new solo CD with collaborations from bassist Mark Egan and guitarist Jeff Ciampa, as well an instrumental CD with saxophonist Bob Magnuson. Michael's music can also be heard on network and cable television. Recently, his music aired on the Lifetime and Lifetime Women's Channel as well as TNN Superstation. He has composed for 20th Century Fox's Music Library which included music aired for the "X-Files".

Michael is a current BMI songwriter and is endorsed by Vic Firth Drumsticks and Alternate Mode (Drumkat).

THE Seasiders today confirmed they are awaiting international clearance to sign midfielder Michael D'Agostino.
D'Agostino, who appeared for the Canadian national side in this summer's FIFA Under-20 World Cup, plays on the right of midfield and can also play at full-back.

Is this a good signing for The Seasiders? Leave your comments below

Born in Vancouver, the 20 year-old has been on trial at The Seasiders, playing twice for the reserves.

D'Agostino told the Vancouver Sun he was hoping to become a regular squad member. He said: "My best position is attacking right-side midfielder and that's where I've been playing in training sessions with Blackpool."

He added: "There aren't too many young players in the squad competing for first-team positions, so it's up to me to win my place."
