Rafa better pray we win or he's going to get some serious stick for leaving out Torres again

Hmm, Finnan & Torres on the bench... Surely Arbeloa (although doing well), should be due a 'rest' soon

Yossi's probably sitting at McDonalds patiently looking at his watch waiting for the fast to end.

                  He's lovin' it.

                    Spot on

If he's got a knock etc then fair play... but to rotate/rest/drop £20+m of striker who's on form

he was **** the other night. Kuyt was awesome and Voronin has always looked good when called on. I dont see the problem, will keep him on his toes anyway. The last thing we want is any player feeling complacement if we are going for the title.

                        Good call rafa.

I would much rather he sat out a game like Derby than ones against teams that have caused us problems in recent years.

And also I think Crouch should have started against Porto.

But anyway, if that team we have put out cannot beat Birmingham we don't deserve to challenge for the title.

I haven't really got a problem with that team tbh. Torres can't play every game, so you rest him in easier games. Birmingham at home is a different story to Pompey away.

Rafa is just weird.Torres has got 3league goals and was on fire.Dropping him can do no good for his confidence. His goals have all come at Anfield too and I just cant believe this.
Oh the man is a midfield maestro
and his passes are sooo delightful

You say that polo but in the last 3 years we've lost 1-0 and drawn 1-1 with them at home. Without winning the away games.

And if you look at the team from that 1-1 draw I'm not even sure the current one is significantly better when you consider we had Reina, Finnan, Hyppia, Agger, Riise, Garcia, Gerrard, Hammann, (a fit) Kewell, Crouch and Morientes.
